Are you ready? Richmond offers up something to do each and every weekend with another festival for food, music, or art! Here are a few events to look forward to...

May 17 - 19 – Dominion Riverrock: Full of extreme sports, a mud run, jumping dogs, beer, and more! Located at Brown's Island, this is a free event!

May 30 - June 2 – Richmond's 35th Annual Greek Festival at St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral. This is one festival you don't want to miss!

June 2 – Broad Appétit in Downtown Richmond. Featuring tons of mouthwatering Richmond restaurants and tastes of their most popular dishes at cheap prices. Held on West Broad Street between Henry and Adams.

RVA Beard League's 2nd Annual Mid-Atlantic Beard & 'Stache Championships April 24th, 2013 Posted by Heather Dixon

Check out the Canal Club this Saturday for the 2nd Annual Mid-Atlantic Beard & ‘Stache Championships, to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Richmond! Around 200 bearded & 'stached lads, including our own RVA Beard League, will be competing to see who's facial hair is fit for an award!

103.7 The River’s Dash will once again be the Master of Hair-emonies. So check out this awesome event for an even greater cause!

XL102 Chili Cook Off 2013!! April 17th, 2013 Posted by Heather Dixon

This year marks 30 years for the annual Chili Cook Off! Each and every year, swarms of people of all ages have rushed into the event, tasting some of Richmond's best chili recipes. Some contenders are local favorites like Cha Cha's Cantina, along with plenty of private chilis brought in from home recipes.

But the Chili isn't where the fun stops! The music line up this year is one that will open the gates to a wider range of fans. This year we have bands like Flyleaf & Three Days Grace that will appease the usual crowd, while Twenty One Pilots & Against Grace bring in a slightly new crowd. This Weekend is the Dogwood Classic! April 3rd, 2013 Posted by Heather Dixon

The day is rapidly approaching! Dogwood Classic is THIS Saturday!

"Steeplechase horses will compete at Colonial Downs and tailgaters will party on the country’s second largest dirt oval as Central Virginia’s new spring racing event will kick off with an early April date.

The first ever “Dogwood Classic” will be held the afternoon of Saturday April 6th, 2013. A number of National Steeplechase Association (NSA) races are expected to take place on the Secretariat turf course and tailgating will be available on the track’s 1 ¼ mile dirt track."
